Katarzyna Badach has impressed me with her crystal-clear and extremely sensitive perception.
Her work radiates liveliness as it narrates, rather than illustrating, the essence of visual, usually out of an immediate proximity

to the urban landscape – the realm of objects becomes a paradigm of its own that does not reveal itself except by and by.
Badach generates form from colour, i.e. not in a coloristic manner, but in the tradition of the great Venetian artists,

the impressionists and the American colourfield paintings by Barnett Newmann, Hans Hoffmann, etc.
In Badach’s work, space comes into being through luminous quality, its density or its transparency of the spatial colour structure.
In her paintings and watercolours, Badach communicates in sensual, powerful und lyrical ways. She beholds. The things beheld

turn into cognition, while cognition melds with the observed object and generates a timeless “something” that strikes a cord deep inside.
